Humble beginnings of my new Skeleton Legion! These 90's Warhammer skeletons are definitely my all time favorite. The only ones that you can pose to your liking. The ones that followed were cool but to small. The newest ones with their Arabic swords and helmets don't fit the aesthetics of my army.

Tabletop World Water Well
I really enjoyed painting Water Well from Tabletop World. Houses, especially the big ones tend to be overwhelming at times. Since this piece is rather small, I was able to concentrate on smallest details. I was playing with different rust effects, added water effects (small water splashes) and different dead leafs to the base. This is one of several Water Wells which will be featured in Town of Altburg diorama.

Zombie Horde Is Growing!
I am happy to present you the current state of my zombie horde! Few days ago I finally reached the number 50. However, the final goal is to have a unit 100 zombies strong. For now I'll take a rest from zombies and paint some skeletons (I just love skeletons, I can newer have them enough! :) ).
So here are some shots of the unit: Oh and by the way, I wasn't completely happy with my Landsknecht zombies, they were to clean. A bit of rust, dirt and blood goes a long way. So here they are updated: And finally, a cool shot of Arachtian raising the dead in the local cemetery:Saturday, September 24, 2022
Start of an Epic Journey!
Something big is cooking! I'm gonna be building an epic display table which will include all of the current TabletopWorld buildings as well as those released in the future! The idea is to build the board, tile by tile, making each tile a standalone diorama. The board will be designed in a way that it can extend indefinitely, and hopefully one day we at the Tabletop World will need a dedicated room just to display this project. The Town of Altburg will be set in Autumn and will lean toward the grim-dark aesthetics. It will feature both the rural outskirts and the town inside the city walls. The plan is to document this years long project with lots of photos, videos and tutorials on how I build and paint the board. To get a sense of atmosphere we are going for, here is the first building I painted for the board – Townhouse II from the Midgard range.
That said, the two Altburg townhouses I already painted in more of a fantasy style do not fit aesthetically into this project, so I'm gonna repaint some of their parts in the dark medieval style. :)Wednesday, September 21, 2022
Landsknecht Zombies ready to join the Horde!
I speedpainted all five Landsknecht zombies and they are ready to join Kain's Zombie Horde! I experimented a bit with skin tones because I want to add more variety to the unit in that regard, to show different stages of decay and decomposition of the flesh.
Looking at the photo I think I'm gonna be adding some blood and dirt on them, because they seem a bit to clean considering they are zombies. As I said in the previous post these miniatures fit perfectly with oldhammer zombies both in size and style, as you can see on the photo above.Friday, September 16, 2022
Landsknecht Zombie Miniatures
I had these guys stashed for quite some time now and I finally decided to paint them and add them to my zombie horde. I bought them on eBay, I'm not sure if they are still in production. I know that there was a Kickstarter campaign for these miniatures. They are in 28mm scale and fit perfectly with oldhammer zombies both in style and size.
There is five different sculpts and they are basically empire soldiers risen back to life. I based and undercoated all five of them and finished one. Other four will follow soon! 🧟🧟🧟🧟Wednesday, September 14, 2022
Countess Abigail's Black Coach
For me this is one of iconic Warhammer miniatures. The classic Black Coach is just perfect. I decided that my coach will be predominantly made of wood, so I carved the wood grain in the plain surfaces. At one point I was thinking about replacing the skeletal steeds with black horses covered in black cloth, but in the end I decided to keep the original Nightmares. I ditched the impaled skeleton which originally goes behind the wraith. It seamed somehow out of place to me. Overall I am very happy with the result.
